Job Summary: 

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our Tax team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax compliance, tax planning, and tax research. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for assisting the Tax Manager in managing the tax compliance process, preparing and reviewing tax returns, and researching complex tax issues. The Assistant Manager will also be responsible for building relationships with clients and providing excellent customer service.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Cost Accountant at Arthtattva. As a Cost Accountant, you will be responsible for day-to-day costing activities, including maintaining cost ledgers and preparing monthly cost statements. You will ensure that financial statements are accurate and produced in a timely manner, and will be responsible for creating journal entries and analyzing cost variances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish standard costs and update them as appropriate
  • Analyse costs of raw material and other supplies and create cost- benefit analysis for vendors
  • Classify costs accurately in books
  • Conduct inventory reserve analysis on quarterly/monthly basis and generate reports for senior management
  • Preparing workorder reports, analysing and comparing with production team reports
  • Plan and record variable costs (e.g., purchases of raw material and operations costs)
  • Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies
  • Assisting in month-end and year-end closing

 

Qualifications:

  • Fully qualified CMA
  • Proven work experience as a Cost Accountant, Cost Analyst, or similar role
  • In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Experience with accounting software, like Tally etc.
  • Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
  • B Com degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant study
